Interpretive Training:
- Identifying desired training outcomes and audience (staff, volunteers, administration, board members, etc)
- Determining training workshop best suited to the needs of your institution whether that be a one-day interdepartmental staff workshop or more extensive training exclusively for front-line interpreters
- Providing pre-training support to help establish an interpretive framework - clarifying mission, defining interpretation, determining themes & messages, etc.
- Customizing training activities to assist trainees in communicating the mission and educational goals through conversation and guiding interaction
- Facilitating interactive training exercises utilizing current educational theory and first-hand experience to illustrate lessons
- Providing on-site staff support and ‘train the trainer services’ to ensure ongoing practice and training of exemplary interpretation in the future
- Customized training materials, such as site-specific training manual and self-evaluation, for ongoing use by site managers and interpreters to reinforce effective interpretation
